If you want one RIGHT NOW, I'd rec Dead rising. Lots of zombies in a mall, anything is a weapon....fun game and its now $29 new at gamestop Not quite a shooter, but still a lot a fun

If you dont mind waiting a couple days, like the prev poster said Bioshock is coming out this week, as is Two Worlds (this one is an rpg tho). The GOTY edition of Oblivion is coming out in 2 weeks I think, and Blue Dragon is out on the ....28th I think?

And of course,,, Halo 3 hits in just over a month....

I need the following values for these games/systems:
Gamecube, a memory card, a wired controller, two wireless controllers, Mario Gold Toadstool tour,Mario power tennis, super smash bros, super mario strikers, tony hawk pro skater 3,madden 2004, mario superstar baseball, perfect dark zero (xbox 360). All the console accesories are for the gamecube.

Here's what you need to do: Call the store and ask them, or better yet, bring it to the store and ask.

I call tell you right away that Madden 2004 will probably net you about 5 bucks, if Gamestop buys it.

Wii Is Fun To Play

Wii has become a runaway hit  since its launched , so popular that  it  is frequently  sourced  over  the internet , even  with   major auction house ,  but   always  there  is  only limited stock
Although it's not as powerful as its competitors like  xbox , playstation , but the Nintendo Wii succeeds  quite  well  and   is   fun to play absolutely  thrilling .
The Wii  unit  weighs just 6 kg and measures 210 mm  long by 150 mm  wide by less than 50 mm  thick ,it can be place  horizontally or vertically,    
The Wii box  console, includes  a wireless controller with nunchuk adapter, a cradle adaptor mount unit  ,   the sensor bar,   the  power adapter, and a set of composite A/V cables for  hooking  the system  up  to your television.   The back panel   has only five ports: one for the power adapter, one for the proprietary A/V cable, one for the sensor bar, and two USB ports for future accessories.  Plug in the sensor bar   under your television, plug the video cable into your TV, and plug the power cable into the wall, and it's set  up  for action.

Ive just bought a Nintendo Wii?

and Wii sports but was wondering, do you HAVE to buy the Wii tennis racket to play the tennis game, do you HAVE to buy the steering wheel to play mario kart and do you HAVE to buy the Wii board for Wii Fit?. Are there any games where you can just use the controller (like you do with a ps 2/xbox) -also any good recommendations? - Cheers for any help

No, you don't have to use the Wii tennis raqcuet to play Wii tennis. You can just use the Wii remote.

The Wii wheel comes with the game Mario Kart Wii but you don't have to use it; you can race with either the Wii remote, Wii remote + nunchuck, the classic controller, and the game cube controller.

The Wii balance board comes with Wii Fit and yes, you do need it in order to use Wii Fit.

virtua tennis 2009 vs Top spin 3, which is better?

Which is the better game of the two. I have my opinions but I have not yet received my ordered virtua tennis 2009 so cannot say for sure. What do you think? All platforms are welcome but im most concerned about xbox 360 because thats the one I have.

Top Spin 3, imo. It's a more realistic tennis game.

VT09 is too fast, there's limited shots you can make and you can't make unforced errors.

I have both, but I prefer TS3, although I still play VT09

Nintendo Wii Accidents And Injuries

The Wii is a revolutionary new games console utilizing state-of-the-art technology to enhance the game playing experience. It enables the players to really feel and experience the game using its remote controllers. However, it appears people are getting a little too carried away and accidents are happening.

It would appear that the Wii has two very good uses. You can play great games and totally immerse yourself in the action, but also clear your house of unwanted breakable items if placed in the vicinity of the game player.

The cause of all this mayhem seems to revolve around the rather loose fitting strap supplied by Nintendo, which does not appear to be up to the task of stopping the remote flying off your wrist and heading for the nearest breakable object during game play, or if you are extremely unlucky, straight into your television screen. Nintendo has recognized the problem and are delivering stronger wrist straps to outlets where people can exchange their old ones for the much stronger and safer version.

However, even with the new strap people will do the silliest things and forget themselves in the heat of the moment.

It seems the majority of problems are related to sports games. Imagine getting caught up in a really intense game of bowling. You need a strike to beat your opponent and you lunge forward with the remote giving it all you got. Unfortunately, the controller has other ideas and the strap snaps and off hurtles the controller straight into your new high definition TV. Very sad.

There are of course some counter-measures that can be applied. The launch of controller sleeves to aid with the grip would seem to be a step in the right direction. However, a sweaty sleeve is also a loose one, and after an intense bout of bowling the sleeve could easily fly off and head for all that fine china in your mothers' best cabinet.

Baseball is also proving itself to be a very dangerous sport to play in the house as well. Imagine going for that home run, swinging the controller as hard as you can, foolishly carrying this out on a freshly polished wooden floor, the momentum spinning the player round like a mini tornado and twisting your ankle in the process. That's just the batting, imagine the damage that can be carried out by the pitcher. Wild pitches have sent controllers heading for the nearest window, TV, lamp and practically any breakable glass object the Wii remote can home in on.

But by far the most damage is caused by tennis. People just seem to forget how tall they are in their own living rooms. Many a ceiling fan, chandelier and light fixture has fallen foul of the over-zealous serve in tennis. Even worse, some players have completely forgotten there surroundings and smacked friends a family members right on the face during backswings and smashes. Not pretty, and not the best way to make friends.

There's no doubt that the Wii is tremendous fun, and leads to intense game play on many occasions. It's new style of play has caught the imagination of the world leading to every single Wii made available for retail purchase over the holiday period being sold. Careful use of the Wii controller is a must if you are to avoid accidents and events like the one above from happening in your own home.

Apprantely my Xbox Live profile is corrupted?
I have certainly no idea how this occur, I came on live around 20 minutes ago to find I couldn't sign within with my profile. I consequently attempt tor recover my lost profile, but it come up with not ample space to save this profile or something along those lines. I next go to memory on the dashboard to find my profile as person labeled 'corrupted profile'. My heart sank lol, hold I lost everything? I doubt I will be bothered with Xbox anymore if so, it sounds inadequate but I really don't want to start again. Please someone tell me a opening to undo this tragedy. I borrow of you lol. O.K i know i'm behind on this subsequent generation gaming piece but my PS2 is dying on me and i'm stumped here. If i were to return with an xbox 360 for lb150 i could also buy another PS2 for lb50 and it would still be cheaper than buying a 60gb PS3. I have a massive collection of PS2 games and i want to preserve playing them all. There are still a few 60gb PS3s floating around. Either of these option would allow me to play my PS2 games. I don't know what is the best option as xbox 360's are disgustingly unreliable, it can pilfer about 2 months to procure a replacement when RROD occurs but the graphics are better than PS3 and within are 100's more games. PS3's have MUCH better and reliable hardware, are much quieter but are ridiculously expensive and whip ages to load. I'm sure loads of you enjoy tried or even own both consoles so i'm hoping you can help me breed an easy result. Thanks for your answers everyone.

Just bought a brand new wiimote, beside the slick rubber sleeve and all that jazz. I've get two of the older ones beside the slide wrist straps not the ones that lock. Anywhoo. The new one won't pick up on the electrical device. I remember having to kinda troubleshoot it when I first get the wii but that was a while ago. I tried to look for instructions but didn't catch sight of any in the box. I tried holding the synch button but adjectives that does is make the lights blink.

Konami, within the Pro Evolution Soccer series, has a video game of association football by the name of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 has been released for Wii, Windows, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable, as well as PlayStation 2, and the Xbox 360. The Fascinating History of Games Consoles

The history of games consoles. From the first ever console - to the likes of the Playstation 3, the Wii and the Xbox 360. They've come a long way, and I want to see where they end up 20 years from now. Hopefully i'll still be around to write another on of these.

So, the first console ever. The original Gangster, the real deal, the old skool badboy - the Magnavox Odyssey. It was 1972 when the first ever games console was unleashed on the world, and well, it sort of unleashed itself unnoticed. Advertising and promotion was bad, people were mislead by slogans and it didn't have much success. On the box there was a slogan which implied that it would only work on a magnavox TV - and no-one could afford both. The Odyssey was designed by Ralph Baer - and he had a prototype working by 1968. Many people call this the Brown Box it's currently on show at a museum. The Odyssey and its other versions lacked sound - basically, it was a silent console. It also ran on batteries, unlike modern day consoles. Despite lack of success - it was the first ever home game console; regardless of how well it did.

So in comes Nolan Bushnell, the creater of the Atari Pong. Bushnell actually attended a promotion and demonstration of the Odyssey, and he likes how simple the tennis game was. He in fact played it - and then in 1972, he created the Pong.It was a coin operated Atari arcade Machine - it went on to become a smash hit. Magnavox sued Atari, claiming that the patented idea was stolen from Magnavox. Many actually list the Atari Pong as the first console. Im pretty certain that it because it was sued - and therefore got great publicity. And it actually stated on the box - "WORKS ON ALL TV'S".

Those are the 2 most old skool games consoles there will ever be. The absolute legends. After the Pong there were a few more games consoles released - most of them were just versions of the odyssey and the Pong.

Let's skip forward a bit - to 1983. Nintendo releases the Famicom in Japan. They then brought it over to the US - in order to try and bring back consoles to the US (not many people in the US bought consoles). They tried to distinguish it from other games - by using a cartridge and better resolutions. They hit a break-through with Super Mario Bros. Sega then tried to take over with the Mega Drive, in Japan then the US and finally europe. It has reasonable success, and is recognized as a half decent console. And suddenly Fifth generation consoles were upon us. The playstation, the Nintendo 64. Games consoles were finally truly back in business. The playstation used CD's but the N64 used cartridges. Nintendo claimed this was due to CD's scratching to easily - but many think it was because of copyright issues. Because of this, the N64 actually made a larger profit.

Then the Xbox arrived with the playstation 2 - a massive hit.

And now, we have reached the seventh generation. The Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3. They both seem like actual consoles, whereas previous video games were just versions of the same thing.

Now if you think about the vast improvement and change - what are we going to be playing in 30 odd years time?
