Video Game "Madigascar" creates unrealistic perceptions of reality?

My 3 year old son loves playing the xbox game madigascar. My wife and I thought some play would be good for thinking, spatial development, eye/hand coordination, etc. This is a fairly benign game, however, the animals can do "super jumps" off cliffs, etc. My son, the other day mentioned doing a super jump off our second floor landing, and I told him that that is way too high, and he would get very hurt. He responded that he could get so hurt that we would never see him again. We tell him that when we explain about not running into roads, etc. Is there any evidence that these games can alter a toddlers perception or reality, or provide false expectations of his ability/performance. He is a very intelligent boy.

Considering the Activision site that puts it out rates it as:

"E-Everyone 10+", I wouldn't let a 3-year-old near it... and I think you see why.

He may be smart, but he's still 3. Find something more age appropriate. Dora games/Pooh games - things made for kids his age. If you feel those are still not good enough, get games geared for 5-year-olds that are educational.

What do I do about not being able to do anything?

I have really bad messed up feet. My right foot has soft tissue damage. My left foot has a chipped bone in it. I had to quit sports. I was very athletic and loved sports more than anything. Now, I can't do anything. I'm in a long distance relationship over xbox. (please keep you comments to yourself) So, I'm on there a lot talking to my boyfriend of a year and a half. All I ever do any more is sit on my butt. I live on a dirt road with a gravel drive way. What can I do to entertain myself and get out of the house?
On Christmas, I got Tony Hawk Ride for my 360. I was playing it and my stomach started to cramp. My step sister said it was because I never get off my butt any more. Then my step mom says "That is none of your business. You know why she can't do anything any more."
Well, when she said that, I felt like a handicapped.

what are some great games for playstation 3?

i have decided to buy a playstation 3 for my son for Christmas. I wanna get maybe a couple games, maybe 3 or so, depending on price and my budget......he is 13 years old and has a playstation 2 and a regular xbox, he likes tony hawk games, skateboarding, 4 wheelers and off road games, car racing games...please tell me some real good popular games from best to good, etc......any other info on the playstation 3 is helpful........describe the internet play........got to have games to play it online? or can you play free games? or buy games there?....can you use the internet like a computer and if so, how????

Grand Turismo 5: Prolouge is also good for $40, and Grid (Racing) for $40, and Skate is also good but a bit old, and the new skate is coming out in 2 months.

Untamed or Pure? ?

o.k. I'm buying an xbox 360 here soon and im looking to buy an awesome (realistic) off-road racing game i've played Mx v.s. Atv untamed over at My friend's house and the only thing that wasn't Realistic was the 4-stroke sound it sounds nothing lke a real one but the rest is like the best game i've ever played (tracks are just like real ones freeride is cool) but it has a lot of bad online ratings.......like on Gamespot has like an avererage online rating of like 6.5 and that is pretty sucky....... Pure on the other hand is getting near perfect raitings but i looked into the game and the tricks are retarded and unreal there are only like 7 places and it has no freeride or other veicheles.... could someone tell me what is so great about Pure, what game you think is beter, and if there are any other MX/Quad games coming up in the next few months?

untamed is more realistic and more of a simulation. pure is more arcade style, big air, big tricks, fast course. personally i prefer pure, im not a big fan of simulation racers since im bad at them and there isnt much room for error.
