Investigating and Troubleshooting Xbox 360's Red Ring of Death (rrod)

Have you ever concerned about the greatest fear one may have when using Xbox 360? Shoot your question to any Xbox 360 owner, you will experience receiving a stereotype answers. The terror might situate in the sight of a dreaded flashing red lights: Red Ring of Death (RRoD). Xbox 360 owners experience this cold blood run in their veins throughout its expiry. The Red Ring of death (lights) flashing on the front part of an Xbox 360 indicates a major trouble which makes the system go off the play.

The "Red Ring of Death" of an Xbox 360 system is unfortunately a bad sign, no matter how you will cut the cake. But there are certain issues that can be investigated and troubleshoot from the comfort of being present at home. The Xbox 360 front panel display is partitioned to four separate quadrants. Each quadrant of display turning red indicates a specific problem.

Before calling your service centre, you must make sure to switch off your Xbox 360 system and replace the cables to check. The supporter may remove your hard drive and may investigate to review your problem. As each quadrant is responsible for showing some sort of operational status, the Xbox 360's Red Ring of Death make the lights in three of the quadrants glow. If all of the lights in Xbox 360 flash, then it represents some general hardware failure that has occurred in your Xbox 360. This may be repaired by reattaching the cables after switching it off. When you see the Red Ring of Death (RRoD) glowing in your second quadrant, it indicates the over usage of Xbox 360. This happens when the kit gets overheated. The only proposed troubleshooter tip is to switch it off and make it sit idle to be cooled down.

The Red Ring of Death (RRoD) of Xbox 360 glowing on the third quadrant is diagnosed as a severe hardware failure. Try reinstalling all the cords that move up and down to the Xbox 360, and check for pin alignment. But don't screw yourself up with this problem, since this needs to be checked by a service centre if it doesn't turn back after single reboot.

So, What if the Red Ring of Death (RRoD) present in all the four quadrants? This is easiest problem to fix than others in Xbox 360. This is a simple issue present within the AV cable for not being properly inserted to your Xbox 360. Check the back of the console and try replacing the cord until you hear a 'click' sound to ensure the lock of the AV cord.

ok so i had a gamertag that got hacked. before it got hacked i ordered a 120 gb hard drive offline and got a data migration kit from microsoft. I asked if i transfered it would i keep the content and the lady said no i have to redownload it in 30 days when the investigatin is complete and i get my gamer tag back. she said i could make another one. now i got rock band 2 today, and i want to buy more songs with a 1600 point card. I want to know if i will be able to play the songs when i get my other account back in 28 days? if not can i transfer the liscenses to my other account? please help!

well when you buy downloadable content it gets saved onto the console not the gamertag,so itll be on the xbox360 itself not the gamertags.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Rock Band

The Nintendo Wii raised the bar when it comes to interactivity. The physical aspect gives you a whole new dimension of immersion in games, a new order of reality. But the Wii has cornered the market in the childish, family fun style games. With Rock Band, the Xbox 360 is back in the game, and with a bang. Wannabe rock and rollers can really get a feel for what it's like to up on stage, in front of the adoring crowd.

You can, if you want to, pick an instrument and play solo, or have a jam session with others through Xbox live. But this thing really comes to life when you get your mates around to form a band. The complete set up comes with everything you need to rule the world. Lead guitar and bass guitar, a drum kit with four drum pads and a base bin pedal and, of course, a microphone to belt out those rock anthems.

The first thing is for each of you to choose your characters and give them personality with suitably over the top clothes and hairstyles. Next you'll need a name for the outfit, a big, bad one. Now you are ready to prepare for stardom. New tracks are becoming available all the time from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, to add to what is already available. Choose wisely and you could be onto a winner.

Rock Band will guide you on what notes to play. For the singer, it is just like karaoke, with the words scrolling across the screen. As you sing, you get feedback on the pitch of your voice on the screen. The more you all hit the right notes, the louder the music gets and the more the crowd get behind you. The stage lights go wild and the joint starts jumping. Hit a bum note and you bring the score down.

If you are in the zone, each band member has the chance to go into Bonus Mode. If you all do it together, you are in Overdrive and then things really go out of control. The music and the noise of the crowd will blow your mind. With your body tingling and your senses reeling, you run off stage and grab a beer, in true rock and roll style.

The great thing is that you can't lose. If you really hit the spot, you'll have the crowd at your feet, baying for more. But if you suck, they won't be able to throw beer cans and ask for their money back. Speaking from experience, you don't want to go that interactive. Or maybe you do. Something for the developers to think about! As it stands, the adrenaline rush you get is real enough.

This is the ultimate party game and the ultimate Xbox 360 game. If there is a rock and roll bone in your body, you just can't help getting hooked into it. Get out of your dull existence and take a trip to rock and roll heaven. If you have ever stood in somebody's garage, plucking tentatively at a guitar and dreaming of what might be, don't dream any longer. Just jump right in and experience it for real.

1. Guitar Hero World Tour (comes with mic, drums, and guitar, and of course the game)
2. Rockband (comes with everything above but has different songs)
3. Guitar Hero Metallica (this is just the game but can be played with either guitar from Guitar Hero World Tour kit or Rockband kit)
4. DJ Hero - I have never played this and would personally recommend one of the other options because it allows more people to play at once.

** By the way, you can use the guitar and mic from either Guitar Hero or Rockband and they will both work on both games so if you wanted to buy the kit for Guitar Hero, you can just purchase the Rockband game (just the disc) and still play it with guitar and mic from GHWT. However, the drums are different on each game. One only has 4 drum pads, where the other has 5... you can still use the drums on both but it is kind of confusing. (I would suggest getting the Guiter Hero World tour kit instead of Rockband because the instruments are better. The drums on Rockband are really noisy, but the Guitar Hero WT drums have a softer padding so less noise...)
