If you have finally made the decision to go out and get an Xbox 360, there are some things that you should know about finding the best deal on your gaming console.

Although you will no doubt find many different places at which you can purchase your console, you need to take care when deciding which place to choose.

There are online sources for the Xbox 360 and some of them offer very good prices. You should be careful when you are reading the description of the console and know exactly what you are getting. In many cases the consoles are new, but there are some sellers who are selling reconditioned units.

It is about making an informed decision. Although reconditioned units would not be considered a bad thing, the fact is that they are not brand new. When a problem is discovered the console is returned for repairs to be made. That done, the console is practically new and there is no problem with that. But you should be aware of it before you decide to buy.

If you are looking to spend less and looking for the best offer, then an Xbox 360 that has been reconditioned might be your way to go. However, you must be comfortable with your purchase and if you are not try online auctions for a better deal. Know how much you want to pay and be careful not to get caught in a bidding war. Then you will have gone overboard. Just remember to stop bidding when it goes beyond your limit.

To compare prices for the best deal available go online and search there for comparisons. It is much easier to go from one site to another in the comfort of your own home without the expense of gas and shoe leather when going from one store to another. Just make sure the person reputable when shopping on line for your Xbox 360.

You can find great sales in retail stores as the reality of the economy surfaces and retailers are lowering their prices on merchandise in their stores. This might well be a good time to check retail dealers who carry the Xbox 360. The lowering of prices are to encourage sales in this economy. Keep a lookout for sales on products such as the Xbox 360 and you may get a great deal at a retail store.

When it comes to the fun Xbox 360 you have made a good decision to buy and now that you are armed with some tips on where to purchase your console, you can go ahead and buy it!

Any owner of the at one time much anticipated Xbox 360 will understand the term if you tell them. What is it? This is the formidable, dreaded red ring of death. Yes, can you hear the screams of horror in the background? For those of you who havent experienced this horror personally let me explain. The red ring of death as it is not as fondly known as refers to the three flashing lights on the front of the Xbox console. This circle of red lights repeats on and off telling the owner that they have a problem with their console. When you see this happening fear should clinch your heart and your blood should run cold because you have big problems in the near and foreseeable future.

Since the launch of the console in 2005 the Xbox 360 has taken a significant amount of heat and tongue lashing in the media, from customers and critics alike. Compared to other systems put out by the competitor Xbox 360 has fallen evidently short. Consumers have complained that the system is horrible and a manufacturing joke.

Lets look over the causes for the red ring of death and the solution:

One of the most commonly discussed problems on forums across the internet is overheating. This problem is not something that you can fix yourself. If your console constantly overheats you will have to send it for repairs (which isnt a big deal if you still have the warranty) Microsoft has said on their website if you keep the Xbox 360 in a highly ventilated area this may prevent the risk of constantly overheating. The General Processing Unit of the Xbox 360 is also related with the overheating problems.

Also the system shouldnt be moved while it is on. If you make the mistake of moving your system while its on you may chance the disk scratching and the system may freeze up. If you keep it in a horizontal position and keep it in one area while its in operational mode it may help or cause a surcease to your system freezing.

A website that rates product warranties named SquareTrade, put out a report that claimed the 360 has a 16.4 % failure rate. This is higher than any of the Xboxs competitors score which rated in the low three to five percent.

Also according to this report the Red Ring of Death is responsible for sixty percent of all defective 360s. Reportedly the other forty percent of the malfunctions are due to hardware failure.

Right now it looks like the only solution on the market is the Save My Xbox guide. With this step-by-step Xbox Red Ring Of Death repair guide you can fix your Xbox easily even if you are a total technical analphabet.

Bowling is a game, that has roots that go back for hundreds of years. While most of us are familiar with the traditional bowling game that is played in a indoor bowling alley with either 5 or ten pins, there are actually many variations of this popular game.

One of the contributing factors to the success of bowling, is not just the game itself, but the social interaction as well. It can be enjoyed with family and friends. It's easily lends itself to a team sport, but can also be played individually in a group.

Believe it or not, there are some people who would think that bowling indoors is strange, and some people who would think that bowling outdoors is equally strange. But, there are variations of that game that are played in both venues. While they do have differences, they also have a lot more in common.

Due to the nature of a rolling bowl, it makes sense that the typical lane is much longer than it is wide. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, to be bowling down a lane that was only five or six feet long. Not much fun either.

In the western hemisphere, ten pin bowling has to be the most played. Although five pin bowling would be a close second, and is great for smaller children, who may not have the strength to handle the bigger 10 pin balls.

A nine pin variation is played quite a bit in Europe, and candle pin is popular in the American north ease, and Canada.

If you ever seen people bowling, with pins that are shorter and chubbier then traditional ten pins, then you've been watching a game called duckpin bowling. It also sometimes, uses a red pin, that shows up randomly. Some bowling lanes offer a free game if you get a strike with the red pin.

People who play a lot of ten pin bowling, would do very well at duckpin. If you ever get a chance to play it, you should give it a go.

Cocked hat bowling would be really tough, if you think 5 pin is tricky. Using only 3 pins placed as far apart from each other as possible, and you throw a duckpin ball. It's like trying to throw spares all the time.

I've been looking for lanes that offer cocked hat bowling, as I'd really like to try it.

Another variant, that is as much like curling, as it is like bowling, is called feather bowling. The goal, is to try and roll your balls as close to the target (feather) at the other end. You can knock other players balls out of the way (like curling).

Too many of us have had to face the problem of paying upwards of 60 bucks for a console game not once but twice when a relatively small scratch, the result of an unintentional accident or even the console itself, has rendered our esteemed disc all but unusable. So much time and cash down the drain. It is more than enough to make even the sanest among us break down and lose it!

The thing with scratches is that we never know when or where they might occur. They are just as likely to be caused by a stray pet, an out of control child, a fully functional console, improper factory packaging or just plain old normal accidents. Furthermore, the size of a scratch on the disc does not necessarily reflect the amount of damage it does.

A dvd can be fully scratched to the naked eye yet still remain in perfect working condition while another may have only the smallest of scratches and be totally unusable. It is impossible to tell, then, if the next accident, be it the first or the last, is the one what will render our precious game useless.

With our complete "Xbox 360 Copy" cheat sheet you can learn to copy your game and avoid having to replace software that have become unplayable.

1. Make sure you legally own any disc you attempt to copy, otherwise don't bother as it is illegal and punishable by law. 2. Get the software to back up the software for your specific console, in this case the Xbox 360, links at the end of this article! 3. Follow the instructions carefully (for example you will need to identify your computer's DVD drive) 4. Make duplicates of the games you want. 5. Play the duplicates and store the factory ones safely!

You don't need to make a purchase more than once. Damaged and non functional games are a thing of the past. With this complete "Xbox 360 Copy" advice, you can make sure your games never suffer from the all too common wear and tear.

Furthermore, the size of a scratch on the disc does not necessarily reflect the amount of damage it does.

A disc can be fully scratched to the naked eye yet still remain in almost perfect working condition while another may have only the smallest of scratches and be completely unplayable. It is impossible to tell, then, if the next scratch, be it the first or the last, is the one what will render our precious game useless.

With this complete "Xbox 360 Copy" guide you can learn to copy your software and avoid having to replace discs that have become unplayable.

1. Make sure you have the legal rights of any disc you attempt to copy, otherwise don't bother as it is illegal and punishable by law. 2. Download the software to back up the games for your specific console, in this case the Xbox 360, links at the end of this article! 3. Follow the instructions step by step (for example you will need to identify your computer's DVD drive) 4. Make copies of the games you want. 5. Play the duplicates and store the factory ones safely!

You don't need to make a purchase more than a single time. Scratched and unplayable games are a thing of the past. With this complete "Xbox 360 Copy" plan, you can make sure your games never suffer from the all too common wear and tear.

Most bowling game lanes, are rectangular in shape. There may be some square ones, but I haven't seen any. It's quite a long rectangle, usually with a length to width ratio of about 20:1.

In the western hemisphere, ten pin bowling has to be the most played. Although five pin bowling would be a close second, and is great for smaller children, who may not have the strength to handle the bigger 10 pin balls.

Just a few other types of bowling worth mentioning are candle pin and skittles. Skittles is more prominent in European countries, and is played with nine pins.

Another popular bowling variation, more popular in the north eastern US states, is duckpin bowling. It's very similar to regular bowling, but the pins are short and fat, and sometimes you play with a red bonus pin for extra prizes.

If you can find a place where cocked hat bowling still takes place, be sure to give it a try.

Feather bowling, is a little bit like curling, and a little bit like nothing else. Everyone takes turns throwing a wheel shaped ball, with the goal of trying to get it as close the the feather at the other end as possible. The lane slopes in towards the middle.

Are you having Xbox 360 problems? You are not alone. Most consumers have at least one issue with their console because of bad design and a high failure rating.

These problems can be anything from the "Red Ring of Death", to just simple game freezing. Some consumers experience disks being scratched while others see "bricking". Whether the problems are acceptable or not, they are still a headache.

Though most come to accept it, having your favorite game freeze up on you in the middle of an important quest or right when you finally make it to that monster that you been working so hard to get to, it can be very frustrating. It's even worse when you take out the disk to realize that it has been scratched to the point of no longer being playable. This is actually a fairly common issue. It is caused from either the disk not being secure in the drive or the pads at the reader missing. This happens more often when the console is positioned on its side, rather then laid flat.

Another issue Xbox 360's have is "bricking". "Bricking" is a term used within the industry due to the brick shape of most electronics. Since a brick is useless when it comes to electronics, when items like a game console, DVD player or similar quits, it's now "useless as a brick". Some dashboard updates have caused "bricking". The only fix for this is to contact Microsoft to see about a replacement or repair. If the console is out of warranty, the repair could cost anywhere from $99 and up.

The most common problem with Xbox 360's is the "Red Ring of Death". The name for this issue comes from the three red lights that are on around the power light on the face of the console, forming a red ring. This is caused from either a general hardware failure or a core digital failure. Either of these problems is not good. Both require your console to be sent in to Microsoft for repair or replacement. The average turn around to receive one back is eight weeks. Due to the commonality of this issue, Microsoft extended the 1-year warranty that these consoles came with to 3 years from date of purchase.

On November 1, 2006 a patch was released. This patch, when applied, caused "bricking" in many systems. This led to a lawsuit being filed later that same month. This wasn't the first of lawsuits that had been filed against Microsoft concerning the Xbox 360's problems. Soon after the Xbox 360 first hit the markets the year before, a lawsuit had been filed.

The most recent class action lawsuit filed against Microsoft was in October of 2008 by Californian consumers. The filers claim that Microsoft knowingly manufactured faulty consoles and that they refused to release the actual failure rates of the consoles.

Xbox 360's too often have problems. In an industry where only 3-5% is an acceptable failure rating, a rating of over 50% is outrageous! What happened to the game consoles that lasted for years and years without any problems what so ever?

The XBOX 360 is the earliest and one of the most powerful gaming consoles of the seventh generation consoles. Being a successor to the original and highly successful XBOX system, the XBOX 360 manages to bring outstanding visuals to please gamers and their gaming library comprises of many top selling games that will greatly appeal to hardcore and casual gamers alike. In fact, the XBOX 360 has gained attention from many of the emulator developers that have made XBOX emulators and other emulators of other consoles.

The goal of the emulator developers is to make it possible for anyone to be able to play their Xbox 360 games on their computers as well. Up until now developers have only concentrated on making emulators for Windows systems, which is due to not only to porting problems, but others also.

Emulation is a complicated process and the original manufacturers like Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony do not help either. The challenge of people developing emulators is effectively coding a program that makes the PC's system hardware "think" as if it is an actual XBOX 360 system. While this may seem to be easy since the maker of the XBOX 360 is a company that is associated with PC, emulation continues to be difficult due to the lack of understanding on how the games relate to the system itself.

When developing an emulator the makers of them need to make them in such a way that whatever game is being played is performing at the same level of performance. Developing an emulator that is as close to the original as possible is not a simple process, not even when the emulator is for the older eight bit and sixteen bit gaming consoles.

Because of all the difficulties involved with developing emulators many developers end up abandoning the job because of the time that is needed as well as a lack of means. Another contributing factor is the fact that emulator developers cannot earn a living from developing the emulators, even though, legally, emulators are not illegal. The only reward developers get is satisfaction simply because they enjoy what they do. Developers can accept donations from their communities however, although all the emulators for the Xbox 360 as well as other modern consoles have quite a way to go before they develop ones that operate perfectly.

Currently, there are no known XBOX 360 emulators at the moment, but things may change if people have the time and resources to step up to the challenge. XBOX 360 emulator is definitely possible though, but since the XBOX 360 hardware composes of advanced hardware, the system running the emulator (if any exists) must have really high system specs for the emulator to run flawlessly.

Of course, it must not be overlooked that many developers are of the opinion that developing an Xbox 360 emulator simply is not worth the time that is involved. Xbox 360 has a vast gaming library and many of the games are also made to run on the computer as well.

Nobody can predict if XBOX 360 emulators will take surface, but for the meantime, if you want to enjoy games on the XBOX 360, search for PC version first. If your hardware cannot handle the game, it certainly won't handle any XBOX 360 emulator that will be made. It is better to get the original console so you can enjoy the games along with plenty of the other features that the XBOX 360 offers.
