Can you play games on an Xbox 360 without a hard drive? And can you use a memory card instead of a hard drive?

I just bought a Xbox 360 Core System, but I don't have enough money right now to buy a hard drive for it. Can I still play games on my 360, even if I can't save them to the hard drive? And can I buy a memory card instead to save games to for the time being?

wii/ds recmonded games?

wel i have about 100 dollars for game money right now and i was going to ask what games are recomended by you

Now, I know this is long, so you might want to grab some snacks before you start reading... Here are my reccomendations with the ds:

Well, here are the best 1-player games according to my preference:

1. Mario Kart DS

I'd say overall Mario kart is the best game out there. It doesn't get much better than a selection of lot's of characters, 30+ karts all with different stats, Knocking your opponents into lava, water, and off cliffs, the abbility of throwing bombs, shells, and banana peels at those you don't like WITH the selection of a variety of cources. It also has the wi-fi capability, which makes a great game even greater. It's a great game. That's all I can say. Oh yea, and your cousins have it, so why not get it and play multi player.

2. Metroid Prime: Hunters

Now if you're hungry for a First person shooter, Metroid is the way to go. Blasting your enemies to bits with a choice of extreme, high-tech weapons, It's not hard to see why this game is so popular. Metroid does have the capability of going wi-fi. I'd say it's the #2 best wi-fi game.

3. Super Mario 64 DS

Ah, yes. Super Mario 64 Ds. Such a classic, it can't be left off my top 3 list. A take back is that Super Mario 64 does not allow wi-fi gameplay... I guess I won't go into a lengthy description with this game as I do have more to say...

If you do have wi-fi access at your house, I would highly recomend Starfox Command; Starfox I do admit is not a great 1-player game, but it's just impossible to get any better than it's wi-fi mode. It surpasses all games in this field.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is coming out soon, so you could pre-order it if you're a fan of zelda.

Ok, and about brothers in arms. To tell you the truth, most people have been disappointed by the game. If you really want to get it, get it. But I would suggest Metroid Prime: Hunters if you want a good FPS. It does not support download play or wi-fi, which makes it an even bigger bummer.

How To Copy XBOX Games Made Easy - Step By Step Instructions!

A lot of XBOX owners have emailed us asking if it's possible to make copies of xbox games. With that in mind, we decided to put together this guide to show you exactly how you can copy xbox games on your computer.

While the sole purpose of this article is to explain to our readers how they can copy Xbox games, we do need to highlight one fact first.

We are in no way encouraging our readers to make illegal copies, otherwise known as piracy. We are simply explaining how to make back-up copies, which is of course perfectly legal.

Well, there's no time like the present so let's get going and don't worry, the steps we're about to explain are plain, simple and completely free of any technical instructions. We can assure you, even if you're totally inexperienced, you'll find our instructions incredibly easy to follow.

The chances are you've copied many of your music CDs in the past and now you're wandering if that's the easiest way to copy Xbox games?

Copying music is vastly different to copying games and technology which is used to copy music, is simply not able to copy games.

As can be imagined, in order for a computer to make a copy of a disc, it needs to be capable of reading the disc and because of extremely sophisticated copyright protection which is built into all games, this is essentially impossible to do without the help of a specific program.

Recently, some software developers have designed programs for the sole purpose of making back-up copies of games. Having one of these programs installed allows your computer to get past the built-in protection, thus making this the easiest way to copy Xbox games.

Once installation of the program is complete, you're ready to insert your game disc and then click to copy. Your PC will in turn copy an image of the disc onto your hard drive and then all you need to do, is to insert a blank disc into the DVD-R. When you do this, the computer will immediately copy all the saved data onto the disc and you'll have your first copy.

Does this sound too easy to be true? Well I'm afraid that this is all there is to it so as I'm sure you'll agree, this really is the easiest way to copy Xbox games.

Wii Games? Help Me Choose!?

I bought Sims Animals today. It's fun, but it's more of an "entertainment" game than a "game" game. I bought a wii gun for my wiimote today. So just saying, if that helps you answer. Anyways, I kind of would want a "game" game before I get an "entertainment" game. Even though I already have Wii Sports and Rabbids Go Home. There were 3 other games I was considering at the store. They were:
1. Carnival Games
2. Call of Duty Modern Warfare (I already have this for my Xbox 360, but I LOOOVVEEE it so much)
3. Call of Duty World at War
Do you think I should keep the Sims Animals game? Or get a different game first, and get Sims Animals again a few months later? If you think I should get a different game first, which of the games above do you think I should get?

Carnival Games is just another "entertainment" game, in the mold of Wii Sports. If you are looking for a a game that you will actually spend time on, I would suggest you go with World at War. You should also look into Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy, Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros Wii, and my favorite: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

The Games Console War Continues

Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft have all got games consoles released in the market. Sony’s Playstation 3, Nintendo’s Wii console and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 have gone head to head for many years for the prize of leading games console. Now this is not an official prize but it is one that can be judged on sales and popularity.

Each console is looking to find a competitive edge over each other. To date it looks like the Xbox 360 is falling behind the other two in terms of sales and popularity and despite the 360 being out for longer the PS3 has moved ahead on the continent. In the UK the Xbox 360 has sold more but the PS3 is expected to catch up soon. However this is nothing compared to the success of the Nintendo Wii; when the Wii was released many saw it as a risk by Nintendo as it promoted active gaming rather than the sit down versions already available.

This has proved to be successful though as sales continue to soar both in the UK and on the continent. The Nintendo Wii encourages families to play together with a host of games made for all the family and with the introduction of the Wii Fit complete with balance board; the Nintendo Wii has taken gaming to a different level. The graphics may not be of the same standard as the PS3 and Xbox 360 but what it lacks in graphics in more than makes up for in gaming experience and it is also cheaper which probably has a big effect as well.

The Playstation 3 from Sony, has its competitive advantage by integrating a blu-ray disc player into its console. Added to this the ability to play online against people all around the world with no added wires, it is easy to see why the PS3 has been so popular amongst gamers. Different versions of the PS3 are available including the newly released Slim version which comes at a slightly lower price but with less memory.

Sony and Nintendo also have handheld consoles on the market such as the Nintendo DSi and the Sony PSP. These have both sold extremely well with the DSi being the leading seller in the gaming industry including games consoles.

I played it as a two player game on my mates xbox, there are loads of characters and it's sort of like tag, one person is on fire and you have to run away before he passes the flames onto you. ‘lost’ Video Game Arrives in February

Next month, Lost will come to life in an entirely new fashion, when Lost: Via Domus is released on XBox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC. The Lost video game will come out for the three systems simultaneously on February 26.

Gamers of Lost: Via Domus will take on the persona of an altogether new and previously unseen or unheard of survivor of doomed Flight 815. As Elliott the photojournalist, gamers will suffer from amnesia while embarking on a tour of the mysterious island, much like Paulo and Nikki’s adventures in the episode entitled “Expose.â€

Despite such a parallel, along with other similarities with Lost’s first three seasons, Lost: Via Domus won’t reveal any major secrets and surprises about the television show. However, its creators do promise that much like all other media connected with the franchise – books, websites and mobisodes – the game will showcase exciting things about the island and its castaways.

Lost: Via Domus hopes to achieve this dichotomous stance by focusing on its main character, Elliott, whose identity players of the video will assume. The game is built primarily around Elliott’s true person and the mystery of why strange people keep popping up all over the jungle to threaten him.

Gamers can look forward to a total of 10 hours of running around, deciphering puzzles and clues, engaging in mini-games, picking dialogues and a whole lot of action. Among the tasks players will have to take on as Elliott are fixing fuel leaks in the plane, keying in the wretched numbers into the Swan station computer and communicating with Kate to trigger a flashback sequence.

While Lost: Via Domus does not feature the vocal talents of Lost stars like Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly and Josh Holloway, it does carry those of other cast members such as Yunjin Kim, Michael Emerson, Emilie De Ravin and Henry Ian Cusick.

I am somewhat of an expert on finding free online games and free computer games online. I, myself, have been dabbling with computers and computer games since I was twelve years old. Today, aside from playing free online games and computer games I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), twice over. I am also certified by Cisco twice over as a Cisco Certified Network Administrator (or CCNA.)
