On the market today there is now available some crazy and zany video games that can enhance the video gaming experience for gamers. These incredible video games have the ability to cause the villains within a video game to begin dancing to disco music.

The most bizarre of these newly bizarre video games are produced by Insomniac Games, who also produced the Ratchet And Clank Future - Tools Of Destruction video game. Within this video game was the introduction of the Transformer that had the ability to turn enemies into tiny, little penguins and the Gelanator that could trap its enemies in ice cubes that were made of lime gelatin. Their whimsical look on video games has enabled the majority of their video games to become top titles on the bestseller charts by the gaming industry.

The magical and advanced technology that is used in creating special effects in many movies are the same ones that are used to create the realistic graphics and life like animation within many video games produced by Insomniac Games. Insomniac Games is one of the few independent video game developers that are still battle for their place among the big league names of Activision and Electronic Arts Incorporated. Already two top independent video game developers, Pandemic Studios and BioWare Corporation, have sold out to Electronic Arts Incorporated.

Insomniac Games is a company that has reserved the rights to keep to their roots as a goofy and informal company that can focus on creativity and fun. However, it only sold close to two hundred thousand copies, which is not great, but for a first time video game it is not too shabby either.

The second video game that they released was Spyro the Dragon, which featured a friendly purple dragon and it was a runaway hit. This video game was so incredible that between 1998 and 2000 there were three more video games created that were based on the Dragon Spyro. The sales of these video games reached close to twelve million copies actually being sold.

Then in 2002, they created Ratchet And Clank, which was about a furry yellow creature and his robot sidekick. This video game was such a huge hit that it sold more than twelve million copies. The major video game they released was a more mature type of video game known as, Resistance - Fall Of Man. This video game became one of the best selling video games for Sony and its Playstation 3 video game system.

Insomniac Games develops video games for only Sony, and since the Playstation 3 video gaming system has fallen way behind the sales of the Wii and Xbox-360 they have truly been affected. However, they are not considering selling out to the larger video game developing companies. In fact, they will consider developing video games for other video game system manufactures first.

They have created such fabulous video games as Spyro the Dragon in 1998, Spyro 2 - Ripto's Rage in 1999, Spryo - Year of the Dragon in 2000, Ratchet & Clank in 2002, Ratchet & Clank - Going Commando in 2003, Ratchet & Clank - Up Your Arsenal in 2004, Ratchet Deadlocked in 2005, Ratchet & Clank Future - Tools of Destruction in 2006, and Resistance - Fall of Man in 2007.

Back in the 90s the Sega console was very popular. Sega was the new thing right after computer games such as Prince of Persia and Double Dragon. Then Sony Playstation arrived and we never heard of the Sega console again. Then the Xbox arrived and a new rivalry was born between Sony and Microsoft. One thing was different. Sony Playstation didnt disappear like the Sega console. It stood its ground and today its still the gaming console to beat.

Today we have the greatest rivalries of the gaming world. Playstation 3 vs Xbox 360. Xbox 360 was launched almost a year before the Playstation 3 console. When the Sony Playstation 3 was launched Sony shipped more than 400 000 consoles to the US and by the end of the year that number increased to 1000 000.

Xbox had an advantage because of its earlier launch. It gave Microsoft the chance to build an impressive line of games, but Sony Playstation worked very hard to close the gap. Games which were available from the launch were Fatal Inertia, Ridge Racer 7, Resistance: Fall of Man and Need for Speed: Carbon. Before the Sony Playstation 3 were launched the console claimed victory at the Tokyo Game Show where several Playstation 3 games were given awards. Sony also made sure that the new console had no problem playing Playstation 2 games.

One of the things where Sony Playstation has the edge is that they created the games so that gamers are able to create their own environment. PC gamers have had this luxury for quite some time but it is new to the console world. Playstation gamers are now able to create new levels and environments for games. Microsoft took a much less enthusiastic view regarding to user created content.

Xbox and the Playstation are both equipped with online services but each has their own style. This is function none of the predecessors were able of doing. It has opened a new world of console gaming. Something only the computer gamers could enjoy.

Game consoles that were built for children are long gone. Todays consoles are built for adults. More and more adults are realizing that consoles like the Sony Playstation 3 are perfect where friends get together and enjoy an evening. Invite your friends for a tennis or football game. When Ninja Gaiden was released on the Xbox in 2004, it was considered to be one of the greatest Xbox video games of all time. Later on, Ninja Gaiden Black was released as an enhanced adaptation of the original Xbox game. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a PlayStation 3 exclusive video game that is a remake of the Xbox iterations. The storyline in Ninja Gaiden revolves around youthful Ninja Ryu Hayabusa and the Vigoor Empire. Ryu’s people (the Hayabusa Clan) was assailed by the malicious Vigoor Empire, and they pilfered the Dark Dragon Sword. Unfortunately, Ryu’s friend (Kureha) was murdered during the attack. Consequently, Ryu is striving to seek vengeance and retrieve the Dark Dragon Sword. How many times am I going to have to suffer through this redundant plot? Fortunately, gamers are not playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the storyline. Avid fans of the Xbox version of Ninja Gaiden will enjoy Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The gameplay is an action adventure riot from start to finish. Skillful attacks are the name of the game, so do not expect to eradicate all enemies with one hit. Ryu Hayabusa is an acrobatic ninja that is as swift and agile as any ninja. The subtle things in Ninja Gaiden Sigma’s gameplay (running on water and attacking from different angles) make you really appreciate the game. Grappling throws, using walls, ninja throwing stars, incendiary shurekins, magic, sword attacks, and a combination of everything can be used to pulverize your foes.

Special attacks (like charging up) will no doubt unleash devastation on all your opponents. If all these maneuvers sound intricate, do not be intimidated. Ninja Gaiden Sigma does a remarkable job with the intuitive controls. The enemies are significantly challenging in their own right. They will try to flank you and outsmart you with every move. One completely original feature in the game is the capability to play as Rachel. For those who are unaware, she was the woman with the eccentrically enormous breasts in Ninja Gaiden. She was not a playable character in the Xbox version, but she is playable in the PlayStation 3 revision. Personally, I felt like the addition to have Rachel as a playable character was gratuitous. She is significantly sluggish and lacks the dexterity of Ninja Ryu Hayabusa. A majority of the gameplay with Rachel involves blocking. That is not exactly my idea of engrossing gameplay. There are also some new adversaries in the game for Ninja Gaiden veterans. These opponents that Ryu will encounter will be just as lethal in the PlayStation 3 game as they were in the Xbox games. A plethora of weapons will be available in Ninja Gaiden that include swords and magic. My favorite has to be the brand new Tiger’s Fang and Dragon’s Claw. It is a two sword combination that is utilized for dual wielding (ala Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic lightsabers). The visuals in Ninja Gaiden Sigma are stunning. Everything from the environments to the clothing is brilliant; moreover, character models and trees will cast their own realistic shadows. The exemplary graphics truly make Ninja Gaiden Sigma feel like a next generation console video game. All of the animations are authentic; attacking an enemy will cause it to act accordingly. The audio is right on par with its Xbox counterpart. You hear everything from the sounds of bullets ricocheting off Ryu’s weapons when he blocks to blood spilling on the ground. In addition, the sound of your swords cutting open a foe is more than satisfying. The drawbacks of Ninja Gaiden Sigma are that the plot is convoluted, and the game is immensely arduous. Even if you know absolutely nothing about martial arts, everyone is enamored with ninjas. What is there not to like about a ninja? Not much. If anyone was a fan of Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, they will have a fantastic time with Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Once players learn the steep learning curve, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a fairly entertaining experience.

Who Plays Video Games?

With the great number of video games for sale and the huge variety of video games that are downloadable through the internet, it probably will not surprise you to learn that 60 percent of the American population has played some kind of video game. They are rivalling baseball as the great American pastime. Indeed, there are versions of baseball and NFL available as video games. Video games grew out of our fascination with computers and they are played by young and old alike. Video game playing is not limited to kids and teenagers, although children are starting to play video games at younger and more tender ages.

Nearly half of all American children aged 4 to 6 are estimated to have played video games, and a new market has sprung up to develop video games to involve toddlers and make computers more attractive for them to use. More attractive to children! Kids take to computers better than ducks to water, and stay connected for life. As of 2005, a quarter of the children in the aged four to six age group who have played computer games say it is a regular habit. The toddler, of course, cannot yet talk about their video game habits. But their parents report that children, especially boys have lost interest in playing with their traditional toys like action figures, Legos, and puzzles and prefer video games. However, kids are not the primary users of video games. Their parents played video games as children and teenagers.

We are now experiencing the phenomenon of second-generation video game players. Video games have been around since the 1970's, clearly enough time for some third generation players to come upon the scene. Side to side, mouse to mouse with the kids are the adults who have never stopped playing or who began playing as adults. Adults represent the largest group of video game players and the average age of video gamers is 29. Certainly, the older generation has the good sense to avoid this costly, time consuming habit, you may think. Think again - 17 percent of gamers are 50 years of age and older. If this keeps up, retirement communities are no longer able to offer Bingo and Cribbage as recreational bonuses. The baby boom generation will head into its twilight years amid Dungeons and Dragons competitions.

The joy of mindlessly zoning out in virtual reality instead of actually doing something or speaking to someone is so compelling that video games are now a multibillion-dollar business. The video game companies often rival the stock exchange earnings of energy corporations and pharmaceutical companies. Nintendo often beats the earnings of major Hollywood studios. In 2004, 9.9 billion dollars was spent on video games, on consoles like PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube, and on hand-held systems like Game Boy and Nintendo DS in the U.S. alone. Of course, America is the leader in video game retail but the rest of the world is far behind, making video game stocks a hot commodity. But no one is interested in "playing " the stock market anymore; they're all to busy playing video games.

Where do I download Dragon Age Blood Dragon Armor on Xbox 360?

The code that came with the game says to go to downloadable content, select Blood Armor Download, and enter the code, but when I go to the screen the only available downloads are Warden's Keep and The Stone Prisoner. So where do I go to download it?

Usually if they provided you with a code you can just redeem said code. It's simple really, just hit the big guide button, go all the way to the left and click "Redeem Code" enter your code and Viola. =]
