Pokemon Platinum ROM not working?

ok i got bored of ordinary xbox etc and thought i might see how they have improved the pokemon games since blue version so i got a no$gba and a platinum rom file added together did some programming (turning the sound off etc) then it worked up to the part where it says press start once i did the screen went white and it wouldnt work so i couldnt start the game i am using no$gba version 2.6 if that helps anyone have anything i should do to get it working?
