Best Xbox 360 Live Arcade Titles
One of the biggest successes with the Xbox 360 Live program is the ability to play and download games from older bygone systems and eras as well as new and remade games from the past. Most of these games are priced around the $10 to $15 dollar mark making them a great deal for fans. Here is a list of 3 great Arcade titles available to download today. So put your paintball gun and camo pants in the closet and chill with these great games.
Peggle Nights
This addictive game popular on hand held systems and phones was finally released on the Xbox 360’s Live Arcade shop to critical acclaim. If you’ve played Peggle before, you won’t be in for any surprises, but the great thing about having Peggle Nights on your 360 is seeing the screen on your (hopefully) large television set. You will fall in love with this Tetris-like puzzle game all over again once you can play it on your television screen. The only downside is that now you have any place to spend hours with this addictive game now that it is available on the Xbox 360.
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
Originally released in 1990 for home computers, this hilarious game stands up just as well as it did more than fifteen years ago. The creators of the original Monkey Island went back and enhanced the game for the PC, Xbox 360 and iPhone with brand new character art and animations that look beautiful in 1920 X 1080 widescreen resolution. Not only did they remake the artwork but they also added a new musical score and voice work to read the previously unspoken lines. If you’ve never played the game before than you need to do yourself a favor and download this now, it is one of the funniest and most entertaining point and click adventures you’ll ever play.
Rez HD
This groundbreaking title was originally released in 2002 for the Dreamcast and Playstation 2 systems but was recently made available for the Xbox 360 through the Live shop. They graphics have been remade for high definition televisions and surround sound speakers. Rez can finally be played in its full glory when you’ve got a giant high definition screen and surround sound system to really immerse yourself in this unique flying/music/rhythm game. Rez HD is just as good as any full-price game that Xbox 360 has to offer, with plenty of replay value and fun.
