Why is my wireless connection keep getting interupted?

I just bought a brand new, mint condition Xbox 360 wireless adaptor from GameStop and I have a wireless Verizon Router which connects my regular computer to the internet and can connect other things (i.e. Xbox 360...) but when i try using it i can conect to a party on CoD4 bt it almost always loses the connection or it gets interupted, forcing me to exit it. My room is is about 10-20 feet away from my computer (router) room, so being to far away wouldn't be the problem,.... But i can't figure out what the heck is wrong...
I fixed it, I put my Xbox on my desktop and was able to get better connection.

use a 10-20 ft wire ethernet ^^
