Should I get my Xbox 360 Xenon fixed or get a Jasper Arcade?

Well my close-to-launch Core system finally puffed and wheezed into an RROD after many freezes in Tekken 6. What sucks is that the warranty expired on the console, so if I want it fixed, I'll have to pay a hefty price to have it sent to Microsoft, or get like-warranty service with a good local repairer for a fraction.

The thing is after a fix, won't I expect a RROD pretty quickly no matter where I get it fixed considering the Xenon's CPU/GPU are 90nm and gets to really hot temperatures?

Or should I save up just a little more to save up for a Jasper Arcade? Any solid proof yet that Jasper chips are doing better than launch chipsets by a long shot?

Also my local repairer also offers a one year warranty with his work.

What they usually do if you take it to a local repairer is try to fix the motherboard if its possible, if not then they put another one in the console, but to be honest you can pick up a arcade, falcon or jasper for around the £130, so in the long run you are better with the new console
