What's the best game to play to get better at first person shooters?
I'm going to visit some friends in about a month and they like to play a lot of FPS games (Halo, Gears of War, etc). I haven't played any of these games since the first Halo, and I was never very good at that. What's the best game (for either Xbox, Xbox 360, or PC) to help me hone my universal FPS skills? And Why?
Get an oldschool deathmatch game, such as Unreal Tournament, or Quake III. You could also go for Quake Live which is free. Quake Live is free so you don't even have to pay anything.
It's very fast paced, and will get your twitch reflexes very good very quickly, much better than anything like CoD.
