Fun Kid Game Xbox

A good video game my dad and I can play together on XBOX 360.?

I searched for a bunch of games, and all I could find is that bogus family crap, that little kids play, but I want something fun. My dad watches me play my games, and always mentions that I should get a game that we can both play. Im 14-years-old, and can pretty much play any game, except for AO (obviously). He doesn't really care what I play, except he kinda hates the GTA stuff where they swear constantly in the cutscenes...Whats a few games that are pretty simple, and pretty fun to play?
I dont wanna spend $30-$60. If its a sports game, I'll get any year.

You know, for two player fun with my dad, I like to play Forza Motorsport 2 - we both like cars and we have fun punting each other off the track and then we blame the other when we crash into the wall. It's pretty cheap now too, seeing as Forza 3 comes out this year and its been out for a while now.

Children Obsessed With Video Games

Does anybody out there have kids that are absolutely obsessed with Nintendo Wii games, Xbox & all those other video games? You are not alone. If my son says any of those words one more time I think I'll scream but in all honesty, I'm sure we'll get him whatever he wants within our limitations of course. I guess there are worse things to be addicted to. I remember when I was growing up. If I missed an episode of Days Of Our Lives, I thought the world was going to end. At least the Nintendo Wii video games do make them use their minds to some degree. I don't think the soap operas really did much for me on an intellectual level but man they were good.

One good think about it is, when he is at home I don't have to worry about what he's doing or if he's getting into trouble. So I suppose spending money on these video games beats spending money on other things right now, if you know what I mean. Unless it snows there really isn't much else he could do outside in the winter. I've bought him books, puzzles and things of that nature but he always begs to play his Nintendo Wii games, and of course I give in.

I've heard a lot of reports on television about these video games. Some "so called" experts say don't let your kids play, others say it's okay they are just kids and this is completely normal. I do monitor the types of games I'll allow him to play, at least when he is at home. I do not like anything of a violent nature. I think that sends the wrong message to our children. As long as he's having fun and not out doing something illegal I'll buy him all the Nintendo Wii games that he wants.

I've also read that some kids become so addicted that their grades suffer. At this point, that has not happened but if I see any signs of it the games will be taken away instantly. The most important thing in our children's lives right now is their schooling. Without the proper education they will have no future, especially nowadays with the economy tanking the way it is.

Well, I guess as they say "if it's not broke don't fix it." As long as things are going in the right direction and he is a respectful young man, he can have his Nintendo Wii games for Christmas. Let's hope he continues to enjoy them because he won't be getting any more gifts until his birthday, which is several months away. We all know about that, right?! Happy Holidays to you all!

I have been searching sale prices for the items on "my" Christmas list and the best deals I can find are at http://www.GreatBuys2Day.com. Mom found her something too! I hope this information helps someone out there. Us moms have to stick together.
