help me!!

Nintendo released a super mario game for the DS a few months ago. They also have a teteris game for the DS and Mario Kart too. Both of which, if you do it right, you can use to play people all over the world using their wifi connection.

Remember, one of the eventual things that the Wii will be able to do is play ALL of the titles made for the nintendo systems via download... so, you might want to wait until the release of the Wii in a few months.

Top Ten Toys for a Toddler

These days kids have gadgets that I couldn't have dreamed of when I was growing up, and as the years go by, the more technologically advanced the toy gets...heck, I was at the Apple Store a week ago and I saw some kids zipping by in their Heelys who couldn't have been older than 13 buying the iphone & and an ipod! When I was 13 I had to save for months to get a Nintendo....and not the Wii or the Nintendo 64...This is the old school Nintendo, with Duck Hunt. Anyways, I digress, I thought it would be interesting to note what my kid is playing with now as he just turned two years old. Here is the list:

#5 Item: Empty Tupperware Bowl
Cost: Approx $0.50
Scoop: Used in conjunction with spoon, sometimes imaginary. My two year old loves to mix imaginary concoctions of chocolate milk and other goodies in this bowl. He often eats his imaginary dinner from this bowl and then refuses to eat his real dinner.

#4 Item: Paper plate and 2-4 crayons
Cost: Approx $0.11
Scoop: For some reason drawing on a piece of paper just won't do. There seems to be something magical about coloring on a paper plate. I don't get it, I even tried it myself and I preferred coloring on regular paper.

#3 Item: Random Stickers
Cost: $0.00 - $0.50 per sticker
Scoop: My 2 year is obsessed with stickers, and they don't have to have Barney, Mickey Mouse or elmo on them, they just need to have the capability to stick onto different surfaces. Free address labels seem to have the same "fun" factor as expensive stickers I picked up from the party store . Regardless, I find them sticking from everything from the floors to my hair (involuntary).

#2 Item: Bouncy Ball
Cost: $0.50 per ball
Scoop: These little multi-colored balls seem to have been around since the beginning of time and not lost its appeal with the rugrats. Of special interest is for my toddler to hurl this at me while I am least expecting it

#1 Item: Little Tikes Cozy Coupe
Cost: $50.00
Scoop: This seems to be my kids only real source of indulgence compared to his other inexpensive toys. Although this was very annoying to put together, my kid plays with this every single day and seems convinced that he can get from point A to B within our house faster in the car then walking. Well at least I don't have to gas it up.Aside from the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, the rest of these "toys" cost under $1.50.

See, it doesn't take money to buy happiness...well at age 2 anyway. In any case I'll keep this in mind when my kid is 7 and the xbox 720 has come out with $100 games. Just out of curiosity, I'd love to hear about what your toddler's favorite toys are.
