Recommended Gaming System?

I have planned to invest in a gaming system but I don't know which one! I loved games like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 3 (DS), Dragon Quest VIII, etc. (I basically love those type of RPG games) and recently my PS2 broke and instead of buying a game system which is been outdated (no offence) by the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 (but also the PSP I have a DS) I decided to invest in one of these four. Which gaming system will have more great RPGS like these, while having games to entertain a 16 year old girl. (I hate driving games and shooting games, Dead Or Alive 3 was the best and Fable was great too, etc.) Which one would you recommend?

If you hate driving or shooting games, you should probably stay away from the 360. It sounds as though you should stick with the Sony line and go for the PS3. My concern is that HD-DVD will sink the Blue Ray technology and that'll put a little kink in Sony's plans (Sony's the main sponsor of the Blue Ray HD system)

Some people don't like the high price, but you do get an incredible DVD player if Blue Ray becomes the market leader. I think Sony has definitely lost their market share and will never regain the lost ground to become the market leader, but I think there will be plenty of development for the PS3 platform in the future and the PS line of consoles have always been one of the favorite platforms for RPG games.

Xbox's niche is shooters, racing and sports.
Nintendo traditionally markets to the younger kids, but the Wii has found an unlikely home with many older people.
Sony has long been a front runner in the RPG style, but they have always had a good wide range for all ages.
