a scratched xbox game?

ugh...ok well my brother and i just got the xbox 360 yesterday. we got one game to go with it. i was playing the game and the xbox was standing up, not on the side. so my brother decided to turn it sideways while the game was in, and it scratched the game in a complete circle twice. now the xbox wont read the game. is there any way to fix it? i don't want to tell my mom we ruined the game on the first day. thanks
i just tried the toothpaste thing...no luck
and yea i know i could go buy another game but i have no money

i would take windex or any organic window cleaner and spray it then wipe it down with a micro fiber towel make sure its really clean and no dirt!.
and you could goto a game store and buy a new game.....
