Xbox live lag problem?

Well ive had xbox live now for almost a year and i enjoy it alot but the connection has been horrible lately.So over the past two monthes ive been trying my hardest to fix it.I've narrowed it down to one thing.My little sister is always on the computer playing Multiplayer games (Club penguin , build a bear ville etc) and she also listens to music while playing them via Youtube.So I thought well maybe its the games , its not. Anytime someone is on the internet it lags like red dot kinda lag and like i said shes always on it and i dont just wanna kick her off (She hollers for my Dad) and i cant get better internet its road runner right now and this just started like 2 weeks ago and its been fine the whole year.I know this question is really demanding but I need help.

Can't really think of anything that would affect your connection other than computer. You said it was fine before even when someone was on the computer? If the speed of your internet connection hasn't changed then its something on the computer that uses up all connection. It's not always what you're running. Sometimes the spyware and viruses can use up alot of your connection. Try to clean up your computer. Install a good antivirus, or reinstall windows. Its good to wipe your OS once in a while and start fresh. Everything works like a charm then.
