Army Men Soldiers Xbox
Good old Xbox shooters (re-asking)?
Basically, I have no money for a 360
So back to the old Xbox I go. Any of these shooters sound good?
1) BLACK
2) Splinter Cell (best game in the series? I've heard Pandora Tomorrow)
3) Rainbow 6 3 (might be a series, although I've only ever heard of Black Arrow and the original 6 3)
4) America's Army (original or "Rise of a Soldier)
Any PC classics like Counter Strike or Call of Duty that were Xbox-worthy?
Last string of games (don't know if there's any connection):
Brothers In Arms
Men Of Valor
Medal Of Honor
*Oh, I've also heard "Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance" thrown around. I never knew what the MGS plot line was for any of the games.
1. Black: It is all about the graphics without much story, but it is still fun.
2. Splinter Cell: It is more of an action stealth game series, but Chaos Theory and Double Agent has more shooting in them than the first 2. I have only played Pandora Tomorrow, but it didn't feel like a shooter. I really wouldn't reccomend Pandora Tomorrow It was more of hiding in the shadow and waiting for a long time for the right opportunity before you sneak up on your enemy and grab them (this is pretty much what you do in the game, and it gets really repetitive). You actually press a button to take out the gun! If you try to move and shoot, your shot will go all over the place. The game has limited ammo, and you actually need to hold a button to hold your breath while sniping! (it gets pretty annoying as the targeting rectile goes all over the screen and you can only hold your breath for like 3 seconds...) The game encourages stealth over action. If you try to run and shoot, you will die in under 5 seconds (although they have a few parts where you can't use stealth that were ridiculously difficult to get through), or the enemy raise the alarm level in which the guards wear helmet and body armor at alarm level 2, and it is game over at alarm level 3. Most of the time, I just grab, knock out, and then shoot the enemy in the head. Although it isn't really a shooter, it can be fun. Also, Metal Gear Solid 2 has much more action than Splinter Cell, but MGS 2 is played from this third person point of view with a camera that is really high up and far away from the action.
3. Rainbow 6 is a good series, and the games are realistic and fun.
4. Realistic FPS that is good for online gameplay.
Couter Strike does not work on the Xbox Controller that well and the gameplay is kind of limited. It is meant to be played on the computer.
Call of Duty 3 on the Xbox is pretty good though.
Brothers in Arms is a realistic series with good story.
Don't know much about Men of Valor
Medal of Honor: They are kind of outdated...
