Ps3 Consoles - Rounder At Super Value For Money
In the search for a BluRay player, I landed at the end of the PS3 Consoles Slim. Therefore, I rate the Playstation first to her skills as a BluRay player.
Besides the little higher price (with significantly more power) in relation to some good pure BluRay players can I determine the following positive points:
- Smooth playback of BDs, DVDs and CDs
- Sharp and high contrast image at BDs
- Good upscaling of DVDs
- Audio as bitstream via HDMI possible (extremely important to me)
- Pleasant user interface
- Short read in time
- "Real" Internet browser, and not only limited Internet access to YouTube, etc.
- At the same time as a streaming client capable of what I have but have not yet tried
- Consistent software updates, and according to current reports, the PS3 Consoles will indeed be capable of 3D. With most other players that will probably simply not be possible via firmware update. Therefore, one is drawn with very future of the PS3 Consoles.
Negative points:
- Remote control must be purchased separately, but the Controller extends completely from the operation
- No Infrared port: too bad for me because I would like to use the remote control my AV receiver for all devices to reduce the number of remotes.
- Energy consumption: This is even though he has been halved with the Slim still significantly higher than that of pure BD players. When I also tested LG BD 390 of the difference was about a factor 4 (BD390 is located at 18-20 watts) PS3, at 80-90 watts for BD playback.
Others:
- The famous fan and the noise issue has also worries me. For me the PS3 Consoles is in a TV car behind a glass door, which insulates the schonmal noise naturally. However you hear the fan if there are no other sounds in the room. However, it is both much quieter than the fan of my (quite modern) notebooks, which previously had to serve as a BluRay-Player and the other I'll take it hardly notice during a movie. Only in quiet sequences, one can hear him, I feel this is not as disturbing as it is a steady sound that I now no longer really perceive that if I did not explicitly eighth. That is why I became my greatest concerns as to the suitability of the PS3 Consoles Slim as a BD player taken.
When I use the PS3 game console, of course, here, but I lack a direct comparison with XBox or Wii in order to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages in detail. The Wii certainly is the better console if you want to sit with several people in front of the screen. For PS3 Consoles, it does not seem to be so many games to which the offer, but here I can only recommend Little Big Planet (which is also more family-friendly) and, of course, Buzz and SingStar. Overall, I notice also that the PS3 games (and especially the new title yet) are quite expensive. Since it is rarely below 50-60 euros (away at Media Markt and Co sometimes even to 70 euros) and additional controllers are not exactly cheap.
Overall I am very satisfied with the Playstation. For a very fair price you get an all-rounder, which is well worth it even if only a portion of the skills is really exploiting. If you want to look BluRays really only and nothing else, however, ranges from a pure BD player. The PS3 Consoles, although it does at least as good as most other players in the price category, but it is not better. For LG BD 390 For example, I could not find any significant differences in the playback quality. But then the power comes to bear and should not be underestimated in the current energy prices certainly too. Not least, but then the question whether appeals to one's design of the PS3 Consoles Slim, or whether you'd rather have a player in a classic form, with the PS3 Consoles, of course, takes away much less space (it can), but also put on it nothing.
I forgive the PS3 Consoles Slim 5 stars, because I could see no real benefits for many serious drawbacks. In addition, the price / performance ratio agrees completely.
