Help me out with a decision..?
XBOX 360 Elite or PS3??
The games I want to play are flight/driving simulators. I like FORMULA 1 and MOTO GP and AIR COMBAT type games.
I have a PC with internet connection so that is not as important but if I did want to use a console to go online would I have to pay or could I log on using my existing connection?
ughh, I've answered sooo many of these.
Get PS3. I have both. My Xbox broke down 4 times, and I don't even play that much. It's about every 2 months that it breaks down, and than you have to send it in to get repaired.
PS3 has the better games coming out. It already has Ratchet and Clank games, the Uncharted series, God of War III coming out, it has Killzone series, Resistance series, LittleBigPlanet games, a new series called ModNationRacers coming out soon, the Heavy Rain series coming out, and that's just to name a few.
Xbox has Halo, and Gears of War, and Halo's just about at its end.
PS3 has a 0.2% failure rate, and Xbox has a 33% failure rate, though, all Xbox's break at one point or another.
Xbox 360's online costs 50$ a year, plus for wireless you have to buy this adapter thing for 80$. Not worth it.
PS3 has free online, and as long as you have the internet connection that you use for your computer, than the PS3 will find it, and connect you, unless you need a code for the internet, which only takes a second to enter.
The PS3 has a built in Blu-Ray so you can watch movies on it.
The PS3 also has a web browser, so you could go onto any websites, just like you do on the computer.
PS3 has something called PlayStation Home which is this thing where you make your avatar, and you can go to different places, like a bowling alley, or a video game chat place. You also make your home the way you want, and your friends can come and visit you. It's a lot of fun.
I think the decisions easy. Get the PS3.
Hope this helped! Took a while to type.

Xbox 360 Freezing Problem - 5 Tips and Tricks to Combat Xbox 360 Freezing Issues
Are you one of the many Xbox 360 owners struggling with an Xbox 360 Freezing Problem? Well, the good news is you're not alone. Xbox 360 consoles have been faced with this issue since they were released years ago. Not only is it frustrating, but if you leave it unchecked, it could eventually develop into the all famous red ring of death.
There are a number of reasons why your Xbox 360 might be freezing up, that's why I've compiled these free quick and easy 5 things you can do to possibly fix this issue.
The number 1 reason for the Xbox 360 freezing problem is because of overheating.
Follow these 5 easy and free tips to combat overheating:
1. Make sure your Xbox 360 is in a wide open space so it can get plenty of cool air. There's nothing worse than having it crammed in a tight space where it can't breath.
2. Never sit your Xbox 360 directly on the carpet. The carpet can act as an insulator keeping the hot air inside and this can damage the electrical components within the console.
3. Clean off the dust! I've seen dust destroy hundreds of computers. You're Xbox 360 is basically a computer. Wipe off the dust and blow out the fans.
4. If you're Xbox 360 still feels like it's getting too hot and is still freezing up, I'd recommend investing in a cooling system. These are relatively inexpensive and will prevent the system from crashing. If you can't afford one, try aiming a little household fan at the console. This will circulate cool air through the Xbox 360.
5. Finally, check the power supply. Often times, a bad power supply can cause the Xbox 360 to freeze up. If the power supply feels ultra hot, do the same thing as step 4 and point a small household fan on it to keep cool air circulating.
